The F 100 Super Sabre is the very first airplane designed to fly faster than the speed of sound, a plane that replaced the F-86 Sabre used in the Korean War. The F100F or otherwise known as Misty Fast FAC, was a two-seater variant that served the USAF during Search and Rescue Operation. The amazing aircraft even participated in the top-secret “Commando Sabre Mission” based in the northern part of Vietnam and Laos. The Misty F 100 Super Saber flew at low altitude to ensure successful reconnaissance for other airplanes in the Vietnam War. This proved helpful in marking enemies in the heavily guarded parts of Laos and Cambodia during critical missions.
